Third participation in a row for B.I.T.T. in the Energizer Night Race!
This event has become a classic of the rentrée after the summer holidays. Rentrée in Belgium has a special meaning though, actually somthing like "forget about summer and get straight back to reality, doesn't matter if today is the 25th August".
With this spirit and terrible weather forecast for the upcoming evening our athletes boarded in the train to Antwerp.
Here's BITT line-up in this 2013 edition:
1. Angeliki - Bronze Medal last year in women's ranking, despite the non perfect physical conditions she wanted to be there and defend the unforgettable performance of 2012.
2. Guillermo and 3. Kostas - respectively 2nd and 3rd edition for them.
4. Umberto - Energizer baptism for him

The word "adverse" can only give a rough idea of the weather conditions in the forest outta town that Friday night, and of course heavy rain began to fall in the exact moment the human wave of lights was allowed to cross the start line.
Runners were warm enough to start when the flemish super-hero appeared along with an incredible show of lights and music, reassuring the wet audience and the running crowd.

Struggling with muddy waters, tricks, hidden obstacles, roots and wild beasts, our runners managed to cross the finish line and meet journalist in the press area, not before having posed below the heroic 'WE DID IT' panel.
Yes, WE DID IT once again!
A private train took them back to 'home dry home' Brussels, where they could finally relax and admire their BITT Automn/Winter 2013 sport oufits.
