BITT Registered for the Brussels 20km

"The team had been registered last Saturday!" These the few words of Mr Francesco, Prophet of the Borda, when plied by the press with questions.

"Whereas the warm welcome we had in Hyderabad and the special Hotel and Congress Centre fares that our partners have reserved to us, the official presentation of the Borda International Tintori Team will be held there on Saturday 31st March. All atlethes, VIP and press are invited".

"I can now only say that the BITT will represent this year 13 Countries with its 22 runners. It was difficult but also this year we will be present, run and borda for our fans, for Brussels and for Europe!"

This is a great news considering the importance of the event. The success of the race results by the high number of participants. In 1983 for istance 20000 participants were registred, while the registration for the 2009 race closed with 27000 runners, and several thousand more hopefuls were turned away.

On 30 May 2010, for the thirty-first Brussels marathon, the organizers, S.I. Brussels Promotions, have elaborated as system of starting the race in waves which will make it possible to admit 30,000 runners, but still not everyone manage to register the team. For this edition in fact thousand and thousand of runners queued during the night between the 23rd and 24th March.
