Washington DC – 17 March 2012 – With sunny skies and the cherry blossoms in full bloom throughout the city, the first SunTrust Rock ‘n’ Roll USA Marathon & CareFirst Rock ‘n’ Roll USA Half Marathon took place amidst a sea of green on St. Patrick’s Day to crown a familiar champion.
The Franco-German runner Frederik, member of the Borda International Tintori Team ran the race while his teammates were celebrating worldwide the Irish day with guinness parades, hamburgers, English breakfasts and kebabs.
The BITT is proud of his performance and thanks for the stunning pictures.
What a great news for the Board: Mr Fred, a BITT member, in the Washington DC Marathon while waiting the performance of Mr Kostas in the Half of NYC. BITT assaults the USA. Obama convenes its Security Council.
The Washington DC event was the 26th tour stop in the international series of entertainment themed marathons and half-marathons. The series, which started in San Diego in 1998, has become a fund-raising powerhouse for charity endurance-training programs, such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, American Cancer Society® and Susan G. Komen for the Cure® who have raised in excess of $266 million through the series since 1998. The BITT supports this initiative.
